Motion & Path Planning Engineer (m/f)

Rimac Automobili develops the world's fastest and most exciting electric vehicles and state-of-the-art technology, both for our internal projects as well as for the major brands in the industry. We are currently expanding our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) team and are looking for a Motion & path planning Engineer who will work on the development of the vehicle motion, path planning, localization and mapping. Our ideal candidate has a very good understanding of path planning, understands what is Probabilistic Planning and what is Fuzzy Planning, knows his/her way around the control algorithms and has strong C/C++ skills.

1. Responsibilities:

  •     Contribute to the R&D of the vehicle motion, path planning, localization and mapping

2. Work Tasks:

  • R&D in vehicle motion and safe path planning algorithm for autonomous vehicles
  • R&D in ego-localization and mapping
  • Test and validate algorithms in simulation and real-car driving

3. Requirements:

  • Minimum MSc. or Dipl. Eng. in Robotics, Automatics, or related field
  • Strong skills in path planning (e.g. graph-search Hierarchical Planning, Probabilistic Planning, Fuzzy Planning, etc.)
  • Strong skills in Control algorithms
  • Ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets
  • Strong C/C++ skills
  • Familiar with Matlab/Simulink and/or Python
  • Familiar with Linux environment
  • Experience working on robots and/or automotive area
  • Experience in simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)
  • Strong-problem solving, analytical, teamwork, self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
